Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated VLSI Design Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience in digital/analog/mixed-signal design to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for RTL design, verification, synthesis, and implementation of ASIC/FPGA designs, ensuring high performance, low power, and optimized area solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement digital circuits using Verilog / SystemVerilog for FPGA and ASIC platforms.
- Develop and maintain RTL code, testbenches, and verification environments.
- Perform functional simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis using industry-standard tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Xilinx Vivado/ISE).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, verification, and physical design engineers.
- Work on FPGA prototyping, timing closure, and post-layout verification.
- Debug design issues and optimize designs for power, performance, and area (PPA).
- Contribute to design documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of hands-on experience in RTL design and verification of digital/FPGA/ASIC designs.
- Proficient in Verilog / SystemVerilog, VHDL (optional).
- Experience with simulation tools: ModelSim, QuestaSim, Vivado Simulator, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with FPGA boards (Basys 3, Nexys 4, or similar) and constraints files.
- Understanding of ASIC design flow including synthesis (Synopsys DC, Cadence Genus), STA, and P&R.
- Knowledge of digital design fundamentals, finite state machines (FSM), pipelining, and timing optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to low-power design techniques, clock gating, or multi-clock domain design.
- Experience in image/video processing, signal processing, or cryptography-related IPs.
- Knowledge of BIST, memory testing, or ML-based design verification.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, VLSI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
