We are looking for a senior Node.js developer to build and maintain the backend services powering our products. You will design APIs, model data, optimize query performance, and collaborate with front-end teams to ship reliable features.
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Define API contracts, request validation, and error handling patterns
- Model relational and document database schemas
- Communicate breaking changes and coordinate with consuming teams
- Maintain code quality through testing, linting, and code review
- Optimize services for performance, reliability, and cost
- Hands-on individual contributor focused on delivering production-quality code
- Write modular, well-tested backend services
- Strong understanding of Node.js async patterns, event loop, and memory management
- Experience with Express, Fastify, Hapi, or similar Node.js frameworks
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
- Familiarity with message queues (Bull, RabbitMQ, or Kafka)
- Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers
- Work closely with product and design teams throughout the SDLC
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
