A pre-primary teacher educates and cares for young children (ages 3 to 5), building foundational academic, social, and emotional skills through play-based learning, structured daily routines, and creative activities. Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Curriculum: Plan and execute age-appropriate lesson plans focusing on basic letters, numbers, shapes, and colors using stories, songs, and arts and crafts. [1, 2]
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment; establish positive behavior rules and predictable daily routines.
- Child Care & Safety: Supervise children continuously, ensure physical safety, and assist with basic hygiene, snack times, and rest routines.
- Progress Monitoring: Observe individual student development, identify behavioral or learning challenges early, and track growth.
- Parent Communication: Maintain regular contact with families through updates, informal chats, and parent-teacher meetings.
Job Requirements & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (B.Ed / ECE) or an equivalent Montessori/NTT certification.
- Core Competencies: High patience, empathy, energetic disposition, strong communication skills, and creative problem-solving.
- Certifications: Valid First Aid and Child CPR certification
