Job Summary:
The Electrical Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and maintaining all electrical systems and equipment across the manufacturing plant. The role ensures maximum equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, compliance with safety standards, energy optimization, and support for continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance and operation of all electrical systems, utilities, and plant equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure proper functioning of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, PCC/MCC panels, VFDs, motors, PLCs, and control systems.
- Lead and supervise the electrical maintenance team, including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
- Monitor electrical power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company safety policies.
- Coordinate with production, utility, quality, and projects teams for maintenance planning and new installations.
- Plan and execute electrical installation, expansion, and automation projects.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, SOPs, and documentation.
- Manage annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), vendor coordination, and spare parts inventory.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare maintenance budgets and control departmental expenses.
- Support audits related to safety, ISO, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- 8–10years of experience in electrical maintenance within the FMCG, Food, Cosmetics, Pharma, or Manufacturing industry.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of transformers, DG sets, compressors, boilers, and utility equipment.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting.
- Energy management and power optimization.
- SAP PM/CMMS knowledge is preferred.
- Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
