Objectives of this role
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, designers and other professionals to understand project requirements and design concepts.
- Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ensuring all drawings comply with project-specific guidelines, relevant industry standards, regulations and building codes in India.
- Reviewing and modifying drawings as necessary to address design changes and feedback from project stakeholders.
- Maintaining an organised and up-to-date library of drawings, plans and documents for easy reference.
- Working closely with the design team to optimise construction drawings for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your tasks:
- Translate design concepts into extensive technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections and details.
- Conduct quality checks and validate the accuracy of drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and eliminate errors or discrepancies.
- Assist in creating and updating bill of materials (BOM) and parts lists required for construction activities based on drawings.
- Communicate with project team members to clarify design specifications and resolve technical issues.
- Provide clear and concise documentation and annotations on drawings to aid project implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD software tools and techniques to enhance your drafting capabilities.
- Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and the ability to produce high-quality drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting, ensuring that all dimensions and specifications are accurate.
- Familiarity with construction and manufacturing processes with an understanding of design standards, symbols and drafting conventions in India.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with project stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find practical solutions to design challenges.
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
