- An interior design intern assists professional designers in planning, rendering, and executing design projects. Core duties include drafting plans, creating mood boards, sourcing materials, and updating project documentation. Interns also visit job sites and help prepare for client presentations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Modeling: Create and refine floor plans, elevations, and 3D models using industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or V-Ray).
- Design Development: Assist in developing design concepts, selecting color palettes, fabrics, and furniture.
- Material Sourcing: Research and compile physical and digital finish boards, samples, and product specifications.
- Client Presentations: Prepare presentation materials, mood boards, and presentation decks.
- Site Visits: Accompany senior designers to job sites to take measurements, verify existing conditions, and inspect ongoing work.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Assist in contacting vendors for quotes, tracking orders, and organizing design libraries.
- Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), or Revit.
- Soft Skills: Strong design aesthetic, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication, enabling effective teamwork and vendor relations.
Pay: ₹10,786.60 - ₹45,639.24 per month
