- Session Planning & Styling: Design unique, creative photography concepts using safe props, swaddles, blankets, and backdrops. [1, 2, 3]
- Infant Safety & Handling: Soothe, wrap, and position newborns using specialized, injury-free posing techniques. [1, 2]
- Environment Control: Maintain a meticulously clean, highly sanitized, and optimally warm studio environment suited for unclothed babies. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Technical Execution: Operate DSLR/mirrorless cameras, choose appropriate lenses (e.g., 35mm, 50mm, macro), and manipulate soft studio or natural lighting. [1, 2, 3]
- Parent Collaboration: Guide anxious or tired parents through the session, managing sibling interactions and coordinating family poses. [1, 2]
- Post-Processing: Use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to subtly retouch skin, correct lighting, remove supporting hands, and maintain consistent color tones. [1, 2, 3]
- File Management: Organize, backup, and store high-resolution digital files securely on external and cloud systems
- Experience: 1–2+ years of professional experience specifically in newborn, infant, or maternity photography, backed by a strong portfolio.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery over manual camera settings, macro detail shots, flash diffusers, and photo editing tools.
- Baby Safety Knowledge: Certified or thoroughly trained in infant physiology, safe blood-circulation posing, and sanitization protocols.
- Soft Skills: Extreme patience, emotional resilience, excellent verbal communication, and a calm demeanor.
