The PHY System team is part of Ceragon’s Radio R&D group. Ceragon delivers RF communication systems in both Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint and Mesh configurations which are deployed as smart cities and internet access solutions, as well as backhaul solutions, for delivering high-speed Gigabit connectivity.
As the PHY System Team Engineer, you will play a crucial role in Ceragon's Radio R&D group, be responsible for the performance and integration of modem, RF, and antenna components in our cutting-edge millimeter wave point-to-multipoint communications systems.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the development of control and calibration algorithms for RFIC, antenna, and modem components.

Drive performance optimization of the PHY layer and ensure overall system performance meets or exceeds targets.

Serve as a knowledge expert for modem/system integration with RF and antenna components.

Manage the full development lifecycle, from early design to production transfer and maintenance.

Conduct and guide research on optimization techniques and algorithms for seamless integration of Analog, DSP, and MAC portions with RF, modem, and antenna components.
Requirements:
Qualification and Experience
B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from a major university. M.E. or M.Tech. is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of experience in designing RF and Modem-based systems, including both hands-on and design/research roles.
Previous experience in as many of the following areas:

Strong background in DSP, Communications, or Radar algorithms.

Hands-on experience in analog and RF hardware design and verification.

Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (e.g., WIFI, WIMAX, WIGIG).

Experience working with millimeter wave frequency bands (60GHz and above).

Previous experience in C/C++ and Python programming.

Experience working in an Agile environment, with hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence, and Git for project tracking, documentation, and version control.
