Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day plant operations to achieve production targets.
- Supervise the complete pulses processing cycle including:
- Cleaning
- Grading
- Milling
- Polishing
- Sorting
- Packing
- Ensure efficient utilization of plant machinery and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor production efficiency, yield, and recovery while minimizing wastage.
- Analyze production losses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare daily production plans and monitor target achievement.
- Supervise shop-floor manpower and ensure discipline and productivity.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure raw material and finished product quality.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials.
- Prepare production reports, MIS, and operational documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of pulses milling and processing operations.
- Knowledge of production planning and yield management.
- Understanding of engineering, utilities, and maintenance coordination.
- Good knowledge of quality systems and food safety standards.
- Experience in manpower management and team supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of inventory management and documentation.
