We are looking for a proactive and experienced Safety Engineer (HSE) to join our growing team and ensure safe execution of our project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations, client safety requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct safety induction programs for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and HSE documentation.
- Monitor proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive measures.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and fire safety programs.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities on HSE matters.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all project sites.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety (DIS), ADIS, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent HSE certification.
- Valid certification in First Aid and Fire Safety is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer/HSE Engineer in MEP, EPC, or construction projects.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Required Skills
- Thorough knowledge of construction safety practices and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of Permit to Work (PTW), Work at Height, Electrical Safety, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and Lifting Operations.
- Experience in accident investigation and risk assessment.
- Good communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting.
