- Develop new product designs and enhancements to existing products
- Work closely with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure the product meets specifications
- Create technical drawings and prototypes
- Conduct tests to evaluate product performance and safety
- Research and implement new materials and methods of development
- Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes
- Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
- Interpret and analyse results and data
- Address and resolve product issues and malfunctions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven work experience as a Product Development Engineer or similar role
- Knowledge of CNC processes.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software
- Experience in mechanical and structural design
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
