8 – 12 years of experience in Industrial Relations, labour management, and administration, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or labour-intensive industries
The candidate will be responsible for managing labour relations, statutory compliance, and workforce administration at the construction site. The role involves maintaining healthy relations with labour contractors, workers, and site management while ensuring compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations.
The candidate will coordinate with project management, labour contractors, HR teams, and government authorities to ensure smooth workforce operations and avoid labour disputes that may impact project progress.
Oversee labour management and workforce administration at the project site.
Maintain effective communication with labour contractors, subcontractors, and workers.
Address labour-related concerns to ensure smooth execution of site activities.
Maintain harmonious industrial relations between management, labour contractors, and workers.
Resolve labour disputes, grievances, and workplace conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure a stable and productive work environment at the construction site.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations such as:
Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act
Minimum Wages Act
Payment of Wages Act
Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act
PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements
Maintain required labour registers, licenses, and statutory documentation.
Monitor labour deployment by contractors and subcontractors.
Ensure contractors comply with statutory labour requirements and documentation.
Conduct periodic checks of labour records and compliance documents.
Ensure proper labour welfare facilities at site, including accommodation, sanitation, medical support, and safety measures.
Monitor compliance with labour welfare guidelines and regulations.
Maintain records of labour attendance, statutory compliance documents, and contractor records.
Coordinate with government inspectors and regulatory authorities during inspections.
Ensure all required statutory filings and documentation are maintained properly.
Coordinate with project management, HR teams, and FA&A departments regarding workforce requirements and labour issues.
Provide regular updates to management regarding labour availability, workforce issues, and compliance status.
Prepare periodic reports related to labour strength, statutory compliance, and industrial relations matters.
Report any labour disputes, compliance issues, or potential risks to senior management.
Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and industrial relations practices
Experience managing large construction labour forces
Familiarity with statutory labour compliance and documentation
Ability to handle labour disputes and workforce challenges
Proficiency in MS Excel and administrative documentation
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Ability to maintain stable labour relations in labour-intensive environments
Good coordination with contractors, labour teams, and government authorities
Strong organizational and documentation skills
