Job Summary
The IGCSE Accounting Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Cambridge IGCSE Accounting, fostering conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and practical accounting skills. The teacher will prepare students for Cambridge examinations through engaging lessons, continuous assessment, and effective academic support while promoting a positive learning environment. The role aligns with the Cambridge IGCSE Accounting syllabus, which emphasizes recording, reporting, interpreting financial information, and ethical considerations in accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE Accounting syllabus.
- Develop annual plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and assessment schedules.
- Teach accounting concepts including:
- Principles of Accounting
- Double Entry System
- Ledger Accounts
- Trial Balance
- Financial Statements
- Depreciation
- Accruals & Prepayments
- Bank Reconciliation
- Control Accounts
- Incomplete Records
- Partnership Accounts
- Manufacturing Accounts
- Analysis and Interpretation of Financial Statements
- Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE examinations through regular assessments, mock examinations, and exam-focused revision.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and assessment data.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology and digital learning resources into classroom instruction.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, curriculum planning, and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning practices.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and Cambridge International standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Mandatory).
- Master's Degree (M.Com/MBA Finance/Accounting) preferred.
- B.Ed. or recognized teaching qualification preferred.
- Cambridge Professional Development or IGCSE teaching certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Accounting.
- Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Accounting (0452/0985) in an international school is highly preferred.
- Proven record of preparing students for Cambridge examinations with strong academic outcomes.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
