Overview
We are seeking a Certified Electrician cum Operator to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, and industry best practices. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on construction sites and existing facilities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks.
- Conduct testing with instruments such as ohmmeters and ammeters to diagnose electrical problems.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for all electrical installations.
- Work with low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and control wiring in various environments.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as frame carpenters and electricians to complete projects on time.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents on construction sites or industrial facilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and control wiring.
- Ability to operate hand tools (such as screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience using testing instruments like ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters for troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus for certain installation tasks involving structural elements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly under pressure.
