Job Summary
The Senior MEP Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and commissioning all mechanical building services for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The role includes overseeing HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Water Supply, Drainage, STP/WTP, Mechanical Ventilation, and related MEP systems to ensure timely project delivery, compliance with statutory standards, and adherence to quality, cost, and safety objectives.
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in MEP Mechanical Engineering within the Real Estate & Construction industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Design Coordination
- Review and coordinate mechanical design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, MEP consultants, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical services.
- Review HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Drainage, STP/WTP, Water Supply, Mechanical Ventilation, and utility system designs.
- Ensure compliance with the National Building Code (NBC), Indian Standards (IS Codes), fire safety regulations, and project specifications.
Project Execution
- Supervise and monitor execution of all mechanical works across construction projects.
- Ensure installations are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues during execution.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, finishing, and external agency teams for smooth project execution.
Testing & Commissioning
- Plan and supervise testing and commissioning of all mechanical systems.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and statutory authorities.
- Ensure successful commissioning and smooth project handover with complete documentation.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and approving material submittals.
- Evaluate technical bids and recommend suitable vendors and contractors.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Verify contractor work progress and certify bills in coordination with the Quantity Surveying and Finance teams.
Quality Assurance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and company quality standards.
- Implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements during project execution.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Cost Control & Project Monitoring
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Review BOQs, material consumption, and quantity reconciliation.
- Assist in minimizing project delays and cost overruns.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, RFIs, inspection reports, shop drawings, method statements, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete for final handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a recognized university.
- Certifications in HVAC Design, Fire Protection Systems, Project Management, or Building Services Engineering will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience is mandatory in MEP Mechanical Engineering within the Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC industry.
- Proven experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, township, hospitality, healthcare, or industrial projects.
- Strong expertise in HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Water Supply, Drainage, STP/WTP, Mechanical Ventilation, and mechanical utility systems.
- Experience in design review, site execution, contractor management, testing & commissioning, quality assurance, and project handover.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and company policies.
Pay: From ₹800,000.00 per year
