AP CSA Online Tutor
Tutoring Maphy is looking for an experienced AP Computer Science A (CSA) tutor to teach US high school students online.
What we're looking for
- Strong knowledge of AP Computer Science A and Java
- Prior experience teaching AP Computer Science A to US high school students
- Excellent spoken English and clear, professional communication
- Comfortable teaching students at different ability levels
- Able to explain programming concepts clearly rather than simply solve problems
- Familiarity with the current AP CSA curriculum and AP-style questions
- Strong understanding of Java programming, problem-solving, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
- Reliable internet, computer, webcam and a professional teaching setup
- Able to work with students during US time zones, including early morning IST hours
Responsibilities
- Conduct 1-on-1 online AP CSA classes
- Teach Java programming, concepts, problem-solving strategies and AP-style questions
- Prepare students for both MCQ and FRQ sections
- Teach students to read, debug, analyze and write Java code
- Assign and review homework
- Track student progress and identify areas that need improvement
Important
We are looking for someone who can teach independently from an organized curriculum/material, rather than someone who needs to create teaching material from scratch for every class.
Experience with AP Classroom, College Board resources, coding environments, and digital teaching tools is a plus.
Pay: ₹500.00 - ₹900.00 per hour
