Qualification
- B.Sc. Or M.Sc.
- B.Ed.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a GSEB school (Freshers with excellent subject knowledge may also apply.)
Job Purpose
To provide high-quality Mathematics education to students of the Gujarati Medium section following the GSEB curriculum. The teacher will develop conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while creating an engaging and student-friendly learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics as per the latest GSEB syllabus.
- Prepare annual academic planning, unit plans, lesson plans, and worksheets.
- Deliver concept-based and activity-oriented classroom teaching.
- Use innovative teaching methods, ICT tools, manipulatives, and real-life examples.
- Conduct regular revision and board exam preparation sessions.
- Prepare students for scholarship examinations, Olympiads, and competitive exams wherever applicable.
- Provide remedial teaching and enrichment classes according to student needs.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare question papers, assignments, quizzes, and competency-based assessments.
- Evaluate answer sheets and maintain academic records.
- Analyze student performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Conduct continuous formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain student portfolios and progress reports.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical curiosity.
- Promote active participation and collaborative learning.
- Ensure student safety and well-being during classroom activities.
Student Development
- Identify slow learners and gifted students.
- Guide students in mathematics projects and exhibitions.
- Motivate students to participate in mathematics-related competitions.
- Provide academic counselling and regular feedback to parents.
School Responsibilities
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Participate actively in school functions, events, assemblies, and educational activities.
- Maintain classroom displays and mathematics learning corners.
- Support school initiatives aligned with NEP 2020 and competency-based education.
