We are a technology-driven organization supporting a high-volume e-commerce and logistics platform on AWS Linux servers. Our infrastructure runs on large-scale automation including shell scripts, cron jobs, file transfers, data feeds, and Oracle integrations.
We are looking for a hands-on Linux Automation Engineer (not a traditional SysAdmin) to build, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize mission-critical automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize shell scripts and automation workflows
- Troubleshoot production issues (scripts, cron jobs, data feeds, file transfers)
- Improve automation for reliability, performance, and scalability
- Build new automation solutions for business operations
- Manage and monitor large-scale cron jobs
- Handle file processing, log analysis, and data pipelines
- Work with FTP, SFTP, SCP, Rsync for file transfers
- Integrate automation with Oracle databases
- Build monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools
- Document workflows and support production incidents
Required Skills
- 5+ years Linux/Unix experience
- Strong Bash/shell scripting expertise
- Deep knowledge of Linux commands, systems, and process management
- Experience with cron scheduling and job management
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with file transfers (FTP, SFTP, SCP, Rsync, SSH)
- Handling large files and automated data feeds
- Linux file systems, permissions, and ownership understanding
- Oracle DB + SQL experience
- Experience writing production-grade scripts
- Familiarity with AWS Linux environments

- Python, Perl, or other scripting languages
- AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch
- Version control (SCCS) and Makefiles

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
