Job description-
To ensure that all school safety, security, health, and statutory compliance standards are properly implemented and maintained across the school premises.
The officer will regularly monitor safety practices, identify risks, conduct inspections, maintain records, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Key Responsibilities-
Ensure compliance with all applicable school safety, fire safety, building safety, health, hygiene, and statutory requirements.
Conduct regular safety inspections of classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, laboratories, kitchens, electrical areas, staircases, washrooms, and other school facilities.
Identify potential safety hazards and recommend immediate corrective measures.
Ensure fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency exits, first-aid kits, CCTV systems, electrical systems, and other safety equipment are functional and regularly maintained.
Develop and implement emergency procedures for fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, accidents, and other incidents.
Conduct regular fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency preparedness exercises.
Ensure proper visitor management, access control, student entry/exit procedures, and campus security protocols.
Monitor student transportation safety, including school buses, drivers, attendants, GPS, emergency equipment, and required documentation.
Ensure safe supervision of students during arrival, dispersal, breaks, activities, field trips, and school events.
Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, accidents, drills, training, equipment servicing, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with security personnel, housekeeping, maintenance teams, transport staff, and school administration regarding safety matters.
Conduct safety awareness and emergency-response training for teachers, non-teaching staff, security personnel, and support staff.
Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Ensure required licenses, certificates, inspections, and compliance documents are valid and renewed on time.
Conduct periodic compliance audits and submit reports to management highlighting gaps and action plans.
Follow up with concerned departments until identified safety and compliance issues are resolved.
Promote a strong culture of safety, discipline, hygiene, and compliance throughout the school.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in any relevant discipline.
Certification/Diploma in Safety Management, Fire & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field will be preferred.
Knowledge of school safety standards, fire safety, emergency management, and statutory compliance.
First Aid/CPR certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in school safety, corporate safety, facility management, administration, or compliance.
Experience in an educational institution will be preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
