Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machines used in jewellery manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CNC machine operations, understand engineering drawings, and ensure high-quality production while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines for jewellery component manufacturing.
- Set up machines, load tools, and perform machine adjustments as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and periodic quality checks using measuring instruments.
- Replace worn-out cutting tools and perform minor machine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate with the maintenance team when required.
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
- Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and 5S practices.
- Meet daily production targets with minimum rejection and wastage.
- Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machine operating experience (preferably in jewellery, precision engineering, or manufacturing industries).
- Knowledge of CNC machine operations and tooling.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper and Micrometer.
- Basic understanding of preventive machine maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in jewellery manufacturing CNC operations.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM-generated CNC programs is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
