Role Overview
As the Events and Programming Manager, you will be the creative architect, strategic engine, and primary storyteller behind our club’s member experience. You will design, curate, and execute a sophisticated annual programming calendar while leading the strategic marketing, PR, and social media narratives that surround it. Working seamlessly at the intersection of all major club functions, your work will directly drive membership growth, elevate brand positioning, and build deep institutional credibility, ensuring the club is recognized as Hyderabad's premier intellectual and cultural hub.
Core Responsibilities
1. Programming Strategy & Curation
Annual Event Architecture: Design and execute a comprehensive, brand-aligned annual programming calendar featuring multi-format experiential events, salon series, and high-end cultural evenings.
Executive Conversations: Curate closed-door roundtables, panel discussions, and forums involving senior business leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders.
Speaker & Talent Outreach: Identify, pitch, and secure marquee speakers, high-profile guests, and cultural icons, maintaining long-term relationships with thought leaders.
Narrative & Content Development: Develop structured session narratives and positioning frameworks to ensure all events offer long-term intellectual value.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Club Integration
Membership Sales Alignment: Partner with the Membership Sales team to leverage flagship events as powerful recruitment tools, providing them with compelling programming schedules to pitch to high-value prospects and convert waitlisted applicants.
Community Services Synergy: Work closely with the Community Services team to gather member feedback, map member personas, and tailor events that directly match member interests and preferences.
Operations & Banqueting Execution: Collaborate hand-in-hand with the Operations and Banqueting teams to provide clear event briefs, coordinate logistics, manage space allocations, and align on premium F&B curation for flawless on-ground execution.
All-Around Event Support: Serve as a supportive team player, lending programming expertise, production advice, and creative guidance to other club departments whenever they host private member functions or internal initiatives.
3. Marketing, PR & Buzz Creation
Event Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies to promote upcoming events, ensuring high attendance and engagement from the member community.
PR & Media Relations: Craft compelling press releases, pitch unique club stories to premium lifestyle and business media outlets, and manage inbound press inquiries while strictly maintaining the club's aura of exclusivity.
Collateral & Copywriting: Oversee the creation of all event collateral, including digital invitations, newsletters, physical programs, and internal club signage, maintaining a premium, cohesive brand voice
4. Social Media & Digital Networking
Digital Community Building: Formulate a sophisticated social media strategy (primarily across platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram) that showcases the club's vibrant intellectual life while respecting member privacy.
Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality digital content (post-event highlight reels, speaker pull-quotes, and behind-the-scenes glimpses) to build FOMO (fear of missing out) and drive waitlist desire.
Amplification: Work with marquee speakers and influential members to cross-promote events on their personal networks, expanding the club's digital footprint.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. Cross-Departmental Alignment: Smooth operational execution and high post-event feedback scores from internal department heads (Banquets, Operations, Community).
2. Sales Enablement Impact: Percentage of prospective members converted or engaged through event invitations and calendar previews.
3. Member Attendance & Engagement Rate: % of active community participation across various event formats.
4. Brand Visibility & Digital Growth: Quality and frequency of premium media mentions, alongside waitlist inquiries generated via social media channels.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 12+ years of experience delivering high-impact experiences and managing surrounding marketing/PR strategies across premium communities, global forums, luxury hospitality, or elite media platforms.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven record of accomplishment of breaking down silos and collaborating effectively with sales, culinary, operations, and hospitality teams.
Network: An established network of media contacts, PR agencies, and high-profile guests (a local network in Hyderabad/India is a strong plus).
Communication: Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and PR management skills with an intuitive understanding of the "luxury/exclusive" tone of voice.
Work Location: In person
