Clinical Duties
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate newly admitted patients, conduct daily ward rounds, and document detailed clinical notes in patient files.
- Treatment Execution: Administer medications, transcribe daily drug orders, and ensure consultant instructions are strictly followed.
- Medical Procedures: Perform routine minor procedures such as wound dressings, IV cannulation, catheterization, and phlebotomy.
- Emergency Response: Serve as the first responder for medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and lead initial resuscitation efforts while awaiting senior consultants.
Consultant & Team Coordination
- Communication: Update senior consultants on any vital changes in a patient's condition and report critical lab results.
- Handovers: Provide thorough and written shift handovers to incoming RMOs to ensure continuity of care.
- Nursing Support: Guide nursing staff on medication schedules, treatments, and urgent patient needs.
Administrative & Discharge Duties
- Documentation: Prepare discharge summaries, arrange transfer notes, and fill out medical consent forms.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols, patient confidentiality, and NABH guidelines.
