Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced P-Way Engineer to oversee the construction, maintenance, inspection, and quality control of railway track infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in railway track laying, track linking, ballast works, turnouts, and compliance with Indian Railways, RVNL, DFCCIL, or Metro Rail standards. The role requires close coordination with project teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise railway track laying, track linking, and permanent way construction activities.
- Plan and monitor ballast spreading, tamping, alignment, leveling, and track geometry.
- Inspect rails, sleepers, fastenings, welds, turnouts, and points & crossings.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications and railway safety standards.
- Coordinate with survey, quality, planning, and execution teams for smooth project delivery.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor labour productivity, subcontractors, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure quality control through inspections, measurements, and documentation.
- Maintain material consumption records and coordinate with the store department.
- Conduct site safety inspections and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Participate in inspections with clients, consultants, and railway authorities.
- Resolve site issues and provide technical support during project execution.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned work while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in railway track or permanent way projects.
- Experience in EPC, Railway, Metro, or Infrastructure projects is preferred.
