The MRD Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records in compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and applicable legal requirements. The role ensures timely documentation, record retrieval, data management, and coordination with clinical and administrative departments.
Key Responsibilities1. Medical Record Management
- Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records.
- Verify completeness of case sheets before filing.
- Ensure all required forms, consents, investigation reports, and discharge summaries are available.
- Index, file, archive, and retrieve records efficiently.
- Maintain both physical and electronic medical records.
2. Documentation Quality
- Check records for missing documents and obtain pending documentation from departments.
- Ensure proper patient identification on every document.
- Maintain documentation as per NABH and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff to complete records promptly.
3. Record Retrieval & Archiving
- Retrieve patient records within the stipulated turnaround time.
- Maintain an organized record storage system.
- Archive inactive records according to the retention policy.
- Ensure safe storage and proper disposal of records after the retention period.
4. Confidentiality & Compliance
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Release medical records only with authorized approvals.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, legal guidelines, and data privacy regulations.
- Support medico-legal documentation whenever required.
5. Data Entry & MIS
- Update patient records in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Maintain daily MRD registers and logs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MRD reports.
- Monitor documentation completion status.
6. Insurance & Audit Support
- Provide records required for insurance claims.
- Support NABH, internal, and external audits.
- Maintain audit documentation and compliance records.
- Coordinate with quality and billing departments.
7. Coordination
- Liaise with Doctors, Nursing, Billing, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Administration.
- Ensure timely collection of completed patient files from all departments.
- Assist patients with medical record requests as per hospital policy
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
