The SAP SD/LE Consultant will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting SAP S/4HANA and ECC SD and LE solutions. This role includes requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, integration, testing, documentation, and end-user enablement. The consultant will additionally leverage Business AI capabilities within SAP to improve process efficiency, decision-making, and automation.
Roles & Responsibilities
Core SAP SD/LE Responsibilities
- Plan and execute SAP Implementation, Development, and Support activities related to SAP SD and LE modules.
- Understand client business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, workshops, and blueprint documentation to clients.
- Develop detailed Process Flows (Visio), Process Definition Documents (PDD), and Business Process Procedures (BPP).
- Configure SAP SD/LE components and deliver project work packages adhering to client standards.
- Provide hands on configuration expertise in Sales, Shipping, Pricing, Billing, Transportation, and Invoice Verification.
- Ensure seamless integration of SD/LE with other SAP modules and external applications.
- Participate in Unit Testing, Cycle Testing, and Integration Testing.
- Prepare User Manuals and support End-User Training.
- Provide application support and troubleshoot functional issues.
- Work using ASAP, Activate, or similar implementation methodologies.
- Collaborate with onsite teams and provide daily/weekly status updates.
- Maintain professional communication and strong client relationships.
- Apply SAP Business AI capabilities to improve Sales, Distribution, and Logistics processes in S/4HANA.
- Leverage AI-driven insights for pricing optimization, demand prediction, lead time forecasting, and sales analytics.
- Configure or support AI based features such as:
- SAP AI Business Services
- Predictive analytics within SAP S/4HANA
- AI powered document processing (e.g., invoice, order recognition)
- Machine Learning-driven recommendations in SAP SD
- Work with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities using SAP AI tools.
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate AI models with SD/LE process flows.
- Support change management and adoption of AI-enabled business processes.
Skills & Experience Requirements
Must Have
- 3-6 years of functional domain experience and 5-8 years of SAP SD experience in implementation projects.
- SAP implementation experience in ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA.
- Strong hands on configuration expertise in:
- Sales (Quotations, Sales Orders)
- Shipping
- Pricing
- Billing
- Transportation
- Invoice Verification
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of business processes across:
- SAP FI/CO
- SAP MM
- SAP PS
- SAP HR
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP GTS or DSD.
- SAP SD Certification.
- Experience using Solution Manager during implementation.
- SAP Country India Version (CIN) configuration knowledge.
- Experience integrating SD with FI/CO, MM, HR.
- Exposure to SAP NetWeaver components.
- Team-leading experience.
- Knowledge of ALE/IDOC or EDI/IDOC integrations.
Additional Preferred Skills (AI)
- Experience or certification in SAP Business AI, SAP BTP AI services, or comparable AI/ML platforms.
- Understanding of predictive analytics models and data-driven decision support.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data quality, and model lifecycle (basic level acceptable).
