PRODUCTION MERCHANDISER – WOMEN’S ETHNIC WEAR

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Merchandiser to manage garment orders from design handover and material planning through production, quality checking and final dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
* Review designs, order details, measurements, specifications and delivery timelines before starting production
* Prepare production files, job sheets, material requirements and approval checklists
* Ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, dyed materials, embroidery inputs and approved references
* Coordinate every production stage: fabric checking, cutting, dyeing, embroidery, stitching, finishing, QC, pressing and dispatch
* Communicate clear instructions to masters, vendors and production teams
* Track every style, order and quantity through all production stages and maintain daily status reports
* Check samples and first pieces for measurements, fitting, embroidery placement, workmanship and finishing
* Identify delays, shortages or quality issues and ensure timely corrective action
* Follow up on alterations and rework until final approval
* Ensure orders are completed and dispatched on time with the correct quantity and required quality
Candidate Requirements
* 4–7 years of experience in garment production merchandising
* Experience in women’s ethnic, occasion or designer wear will be preferred
* Strong knowledge of fabrics, dyeing, embroidery, garment construction, measurements and quality standards
* Good understanding of production planning, Time and Action calendars and vendor coordination
* Strong follow-up, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
* Working knowledge of Excel, ERP or production-tracking systems
* Degree or diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textiles or Merchandising preferred
