- Overall supervision and administration of nursing services across the hospital.
- Ensure adequate deployment and effective utilization of nursing staff in all departments.
- Prepare and monitor nursing duty rosters, including shifts, night duties, leave and replacements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, SOPs and applicable statutory requirements.
- Monitor the quality and safety of patient care provided by nursing staff.
- Conduct regular rounds of wards, ICUs, OTs and other nursing areas to assess nursing services.
- Supervise Nursing Supervisors, ANS, DNS, staff nurses and other nursing personnel.
- Ensure proper maintenance of nursing records, patient documentation and handover procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors and other departments for smooth patient care and hospital operations.
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene and biomedical waste management.
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of nursing equipment, supplies, medicines and emergency items.
- Investigate nursing-related complaints, incidents and adverse events and submit reports to management.
- Identify training needs and arrange orientation, in-service education and competency development of nursing staff.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline and performance of nursing personnel.
- Participate in recruitment, selection, induction, appraisal and disciplinary proceedings related to nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, medication safety, emergency response and clinical protocols.
- Maintain coordination with HR, Pharmacy, Infection Control, Quality, Administration and other hospital departments.
- Prepare nursing-related reports, statistics and performance indicators for management review.
- Ensure readiness for hospital accreditation, audits, inspections and regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the competent authority.
Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
