Job Summary
A Lab Technician is responsible for collecting samples, performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and maintaining lab equipment. The role ensures accurate testing to support diagnosis, research, or quality control in medical or industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens from patients (in medical labs)
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests
- Prepare samples for analysis and testing
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Record and analyze test results accurately
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of samples
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of lab environment
- Follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Maintain laboratory logs, reports, and documentation
- Assist pathologists, scientists, or senior lab personnel
- Dispose of biohazard waste safely as per guidelines
Skills Required
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of medical/clinical terminology (for healthcare labs)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Strong organizational skills
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
- Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)
or equivalent certification Experience
- Freshers or 2–5years (depending on lab requirement)
Ability to commute/relocate
- Must be able to commute or relocate to Jahanabad, Bihar before joining
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
