Lead – Oracle Fusion Projects

This is a hybrid role (4 days/week in office) at our Hi-Tech City office, Hyderabad. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead – Oracle Fusion Projects to manage the transition of Nextpower’s global project execution process to a new ERP (Oracle Fusion). This is a strategic role partnering with Sales Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to implement and optimize systems that drive operational growth and efficiency.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with deep functional knowledge of projects execution to close in a project-based discrete manufacturing environment . Extensive ERP experience - specifically Oracle Fusion - is essential. As we embark on a large-scale ERP transformation program, this individual will lead the full project lifecycle, from discovery through implementation, stabilization, and continuous improvement for the Projects execution to close process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ERP Projects Implementations : Provide technical leadership and functional guidance for Oracle Fusion Projects (Costing, Billing, Project Management, Project Resource Management, RMCS). Drive process definition, configuration, testing, rollout, and adoption.
- Solution Architecture & Configuration: Define and configure ERP modules for WBS Structures, Defining Budgets & Financial Plans, Resource Management, Cost Collection, Invoicing & Revenue generation. Ensure compliance with corporate, tax, and statutory requirements globally. Configure, extend and support ERP Projects modules; build and troubleshoot customizations, reports, extensions and interfaces. Support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership, as well as system integrators and ERP vendors to document current-state processes, define future-state designs, and create detailed use cases for Projects execution.
- Efficiency in Project Execution : Lead initiatives to standardize project execution processes, improve visibility across project driven supply chain, drive revenue recognition & drive project spend visibility.
- System Optimization & Rollouts: Recommend solutions for system gaps, design phased rollout strategies, and lead Projects tracks across discovery, CRPs, integration, data conversion, UAT, and deployment.
- Integration Leadership: Work with internal development and integration teams to design, test, and deploy interfaces with upstream planning, manufacturing, and downstream financial systems, as well as third-party supplier platforms.
- Data Migration: Develop strategies for migrating customers, open projects, budgets, financial plans, cost, revenue till date into Oracle Fusion, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and smooth transition.
- Governance & Controls: Establish and enforce governance, audit, and compliance controls for Project execution processes. Partner with SOX and Internal Audit teams to build financial and IT controls within Oracle Fusion.
- Innovation : Stay current with emerging technologies, including Generative AI and Agentic AI, to identify automation opportunities in project execution
Mandatory Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of IT/Projects systems experience with ERP expertise (Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion).
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Projects (Costing, Billing, Project Management, Resource Management, Revenue Recognition).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Projects
- Strong functional knowledge of end-to-end Projects processes including WBS Structures, Financial Plans & Budgets, Cost Accumulation, Revenue & Billing.
- Experience integrating ERP systems with external platforms like Salesforce or other CPQ Systems
- Proven leadership in ERP transformation programs and cross-functional Procurement/Finance/IT teams.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
- PMP or other Projects certifications.
- Experience in renewable energy, manufacturing, or high-tech industries.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, or Oracle credentials.
