Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and
Requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs using estimating software and industry standards.
- Solicit and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes for equipment and materials.
- Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Coordinate with senior estimators/project managers to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, RFI preparation, and clarification of scope with clients.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of labor rates, material prices, and supplier contacts.
- Assist in developing value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives.
- Ensure estimates comply with U.S. building codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably with exposure to U.S. projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
- Proficiency with estimating/take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, Trimble, FastPIPE/FastDUCT, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong Excel and general MS Office skills.
- Familiarity with U.S. construction codes, standards, and CSI divisions.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Pay: ₹30,075.60 - ₹80,894.67 per month
