Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and maintaining all server-side network components.
2. Ensuring optimal performance of the central database and responsiveness to front-end requests.
3. Collaborating with front-end developers on the integration of elements.
4. Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes.
5. Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
6. Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
7. Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
8. Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
9. Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
10. Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.
Qualifications:
1. Strong proficiency with JavaScript. (or Coffee Script depending on your technology stack)
2. Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it. (such as Express, Strong Loop, etc depending on your technology stack)
3. Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
4. Good understanding of server-side templating languages. (such as Jade, EJS, etc depending on your technology stack)
5. Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors. (such as Stylus, Less, etc depending on your technology stack)
6. Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3.
7. Understanding accessibility and security compliance. (Depending on the specific project)
8. User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
9. Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
10. Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
11. Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
12. Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
13. Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
14. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
