Role Overview
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for generating business opportunities, developing client relationships, and increasing sales for garments and bags products. The role involves corporate outreach, merchandising coordination, lead generation, client servicing, and order execution support.
Key Responsibilities Business Development
- Identify and approach potential clients, distributors, retailers, corporates, and institutional buyers.
- Generate leads through online platforms, field visits, exhibitions, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct product presentations and sales meetings.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms with clients.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Sales & Client Coordination
- Handle inquiries, quotations, sampling, and order follow-ups.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams for timely execution of orders.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding order status and dispatch timelines.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Research & Expansion
- Track market trends in garments, bags, gifting, and merchandise products.
- Identify new business opportunities and product categories.
- Monitor competitor pricing and offerings.
- Support expansion into corporate gifting and promotional merchandise segments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain sales pipeline and customer database.
- Prepare sales reports, client visit reports, and business forecasts.
- Update CRM or internal sales tracking systems regularly.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of garments, bags, merchandise, or textile products.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Sales-oriented and target-driven approach.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in Business, Marketing, Fashion, Textile, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, merchandising, sales, or marketing.
- Experience in garments, bags, textile, merchandising, or gifting industry preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication and sales aptitude may also apply.
Preferred Qualities
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong follow-up and coordination ability.
- Willingness to travel for meetings and exhibitions.
- Understanding of B2B sales processes.
