Role Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Administrator with PostgreSQL DBA expertise to manage, maintain, and optimize containerized application platforms and PostgreSQL database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Kubernetes cluster administration, PostgreSQL database operations, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, security compliance, and production support.
Key Responsibilities:
Kubernetes Administration
- Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Perform cluster installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Manage namespaces, deployments, services, ingress controllers, and storage classes.
- Configure and maintain Kubernetes networking and security policies.
- Monitor cluster health, resource utilization, and performance.
- Troubleshoot pod, node, networking, storage, and application issues.
- Manage container registries and image lifecycle processes.
- Implement auto-scaling and workload optimization.
- Support CI/CD integration with Kubernetes deployments.
- Automate Kubernetes administration using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
PostgreSQL Database Administration
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database performance monitoring and tuning.
- Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery activities.
- Implement and maintain PostgreSQL replication solutions.
- Configure High Availability (HA) and failover mechanisms.
- Monitor database health, storage growth, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot database performance and connectivity issues.
- Perform query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Manage database users, roles, privileges, and security controls.
- Execute patching, upgrades, and migration activities.
Operations & Support
- Provide L2/L3 production support.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Prepare operational documentation and runbooks.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.
- Support deployment and release management activities.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and security teams.

- Experience managing production-critical environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
