Position: Trainee Engineer / Planning Engineer
Location: Rajkot, Gujarat
Industry: Manufacturing / Foundry
Salary: Up to ₹50,000 per month
Working Hours: 8 Hours (Saturday & Sunday Off)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering disciplines
Experience: 1+ Years Preferred (Freshers may also apply)
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to support production planning, inventory management, material coordination, and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with Production, Procurement, Stores, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations, optimal inventory levels, and timely material availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute production plans and schedules to meet delivery commitments.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.
Analyze material requirements and coordinate procurement activities.
Maintain planning and inventory data in ERP systems.
Coordinate with Production, Stores, Procurement, and Logistics departments.
Generate forecasting reports, MIS reports, and planning-related documentation.
Track purchase orders, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines.
Manage inventory transfers and material movement records.
Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shipment status, and issue resolution.
Monitor freight and transportation costs and identify optimization opportunities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and supply chain processes.
Ensure timely completion of assigned planning and coordination activities.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Production Planning, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain processes.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to Manufacturing or Foundry operations.
Knowledge of Material Planning and Inventory Control techniques.
Understanding of Logistics, Vendor Management, and Supply Chain Operations.
