About the Role:
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Assistant Director (AD) to support the creative and production teams in planning and executing video projects from pre-production through post-production. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, communicates exceptionally well, and ensures that every stage of production runs smoothly and efficiently.
This role requires someone with strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills who can bridge the gap between creative vision and on-the-ground execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in translating creative concepts into actionable production plans.
- Coordinate all stages of production, including pre-production, shoot execution, and post-production follow-ups.
- Prepare and manage shooting schedules, call sheets, production notes, and daily reports.
- Coordinate with clients, creative teams, production crew, talent, vendors, and freelancers.
- Ensure all departments are aligned on timelines, deliverables, and production requirements.
- Monitor shoot progress and proactively resolve on-set challenges.
- Track project milestones and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Assist in script breakdowns, shot planning, location coordination, and production logistics.
- Maintain clear documentation and production records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the Director in ensuring the creative vision is maintained while managing practical execution.
- Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Director or in a similar production coordination role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (Mandatory).
- Strong understanding of production workflows and filmmaking processes.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable working on set and adapting to dynamic production environments.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and production management tools is preferred.
