Key Responsibilities
1. Category Strategy & P&L Management
- Own the P&L for the Coffee category, setting clear financial targets for Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), gross margin, customer retention, and selection expansion.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term category growth plans based on consumer demand trends, seasonal peaks (e.g., International Coffee Day, holiday gifting), and competitive market analysis.
- Monitor performance metrics continuously, applying data-driven strategies to improve conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and category profitability.
2. Vendor Acquisition & Brand Partnerships
- Target, acquire, and onboard leading global coffee brands, regional roasting houses, machinery manufacturers, and specialty accessory distributors onto the Jebelz platform.
- Negotiate commercial terms, commission structures, exclusive product launches, marketing co-investment, and inventory allocation agreements.
- Foster long-term relationships with key suppliers, brand owners, and marketplace sellers to ensure high seller health and supply reliability.
3. Merchandising, Assortment & Content Excellence
- Curate a diverse and premium category catalog ranging from accessible everyday coffees and subscription pods to third-wave specialty beans, manual brewers, and high-end espresso equipment.
- Oversee category navigation, search taxonomy, filters, and product detail pages to deliver an intuitive and educational customer shopping experience.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to build rich educational content (e.g., brewing guides, flavor profiles, roaster highlights) that drives consumer engagement.
4. Marketing, Pricing & Promotions
- Partner with the digital performance marketing and brand teams to design targeted traffic campaigns, promotional calendars, and loyalty initiatives for coffee enthusiasts.
- Establish competitive pricing, dynamic discounting strategies, and cross-selling bundles to maximize category volume and customer lifetime value.
- Conceptualize and launch specialized marketplace programs, such as "Roaster of the Month" showcases or coffee subscription models.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Category Management, E-Commerce Commercial Operations, or Brand Management—specifically within FMCG, food & beverage, or retail ecosystems.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep passion for and understanding of the coffee industry (specialty roasters, bean varieties, brewing gear, equipment brands, and consumer consumption habits).
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated success managing a product category P&L, setting growth targets, and driving measurable revenue growth.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong track record of B2B deal structuring, vendor relationship management, and commercial terms negotiation.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, PowerBI/Looker, SQL is a plus) to interpret sales trends, buyer behavior, and pricing elasticity.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to influence internal stakeholders, external executives, and brand partners effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
