Commis II – Continental Cuisine
A Commis II in Continental Cuisine is a junior-to-mid level kitchen professional responsible for preparing and cooking dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. The role requires a good understanding of continental cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation standards, while maintaining high levels of hygiene and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook continental dishes as per standard recipes and guidelines
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations
- Handle mise en place including chopping, marinating, sauce preparation, and plating
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP compliance)
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Support in receiving and storing kitchen supplies properly
- Assist in training and guiding Commis III or trainees
- Work efficiently during service hours to meet order timelines
Pay: Up to ₹22,000.00 per month
