Job Description
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and promptly report any changes in condition to the treating physician.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other prescribed treatments accurately and safely.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures, resuscitation, and other critical interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, medications, and nursing care.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols to ensure patient safety and maintain a sterile environment.
- Educate and provide emotional support to patients' families regarding treatment plans and patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond efficiently to medical emergencies while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care.
Job Specification
- Position: ICU Nurse
- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
- Experience: 2–10 years in ICU or Critical Care
- Shift: Rotational Shifts
- Skills: Critical care nursing, ventilator management, emergency response, patient monitoring, excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation.
