Role Description
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Manager to lead business development for our Solar Modular Mounting Structures (MMS) division. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in the solar industry, with a strong understanding of solar mounting systems, EPC projects, utility-scale solar installations, and B2B technical sales.
The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, coordinating with engineering and estimation teams, and driving sales growth across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar projects. The candidate will work closely with EPC contractors, solar developers, consultants, distributors, and project owners to position Hylite as a preferred supplier of modular mounting structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets for the Solar Modular Mounting Structures division.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through EPC companies, solar developers, consultants, distributors, project owners, and industrial clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the solar industry.
- Generate enquiries through networking, industry exhibitions, LinkedIn, referrals, cold outreach, and market research.
- Understand project requirements and coordinate with internal engineering and estimation teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
- Present technical solutions, product capabilities, and commercial offers to prospective clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Track project opportunities from enquiry to order closure and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Monitor industry trends, government policies, competitor activities, and upcoming solar projects.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, MIS reports, and business development plans.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade exhibitions, and customer meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in sales/business development within the solar industry, specifically involving Solar Modular Mounting Structures (MMS), Solar Structures, Solar EPC, or Renewable Energy Projects.
- Strong understanding of utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and acquiring new clients.
- Experience in dealing with EPC contractors, solar developers, consultants, project owners, and industrial clients.
- Strong understanding of solar mounting structures, project execution, and the renewable energy market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings, project discussions, and business development activities.
