Job Summary
The Upper Kindergarten (UKG) Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports the overall development of children aged 4–5 years. The teacher will implement an engaging curriculum, foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, and prepare students for a smooth transition to Grade I.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, interactive, and engaging lessons as per the school's curriculum.
- Develop children's foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, language, and general awareness.
- Use creative teaching methodologies including storytelling, rhymes, music, art, games, and hands-on activities.
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
- Prepare teaching aids, worksheets, and classroom resources.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom.
- Establish positive classroom routines and discipline through constructive reinforcement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of every child during school hours.
- Monitor children's participation, behavior, and overall development.
Student Assessment
- Observe and assess students' academic and developmental progress regularly.
- Maintain student portfolios, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Identify students requiring additional support and implement suitable interventions.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and provide constructive feedback.
- Address parents' concerns professionally and promptly.
School Responsibilities
- Participate in school assemblies, celebrations, competitions, and special events.
- Assist in organizing classroom displays and school activities.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, training sessions, and professional development programs.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (NTT, D.El.Ed., Montessori, ECCE, or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and smart classroom technology is desirable.
Experience
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in Pre-Primary or Kindergarten classes preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong communication skills may also apply.

Pay: ₹18,254.34 - ₹24,218.89 per month
