Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented R&D Head – Product Development to lead our design and prototyping processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting conceptual ideas into tangible products through 3D modeling, prototyping, and production-ready designs. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in resin and CNC-based product development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Understanding & Planning
- Collaborate with management to understand product requirements, design direction, materials, cost targets, and functional needs.
- Translate ideas into actionable development plans.
2. Research & Feasibility Analysis
- Conduct research on materials, design trends, and market products.
- Evaluate feasibility, functionality, and production constraints.
3. Design & 3D Modeling
- Create and develop 3D models based on project requirements.
- Lead and guide the 3D design team/artist with clear instructions.
- Ensure designs meet both aesthetic and functional standards.
4. Prototyping & Development
- Manage end-to-end prototype development:
- Resin Workflow (7–10 days) including 3D printing, post-processing, mold creation, and casting.
- CNC/MDF/Acrylic Workflow (2–4 days) including toolpath setup, cutting, and assembly.
- Oversee quality and accuracy during prototype creation.
5. Review & Iteration
- Evaluate prototypes for scale, finish, and usability.
- Make necessary revisions and improvements in design.
- Present prototypes to management for final approval.
6. Production Handover
- Prepare final files and samples for production.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams for smooth transition to mass production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in 3D modeling software (Blender, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Hands-on knowledge of 3D printing, resin casting, CNC machining, MDF & acrylic work.
- Ability to manage end-to-end product development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Leadership experience in handling design/3D teams.
- Attention to detail and quality control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, or Product Development.
- Experience in D2C product-based companies (preferred).
- Understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
