Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Draughtsman to prepare accurate technical drawings, layouts, and manufacturing designs based on engineering specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of drafting software and engineering standards, ensuring precision and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:-
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design calculations.
Create fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and component drawings.
Modify and revise drawings based on engineering changes.
Ensure drawings comply with company standards and industry codes.
Coordinate with design engineers, production, and quality teams.
Maintain drawing records and document revisions.
Support product development and design improvement activities.
Assist in preparing technical documentation and project reports.
Qualifications:-
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
ITI/Draughtsman Mechanical certification is an added advantage.
Experienceas a Mechanical Draughtsman or CAD Designer
Required Skills:-
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, or similar CAD software.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.
Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Ability to prepare assembly and detail drawings.
Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:-
Knowledge of sheet metal, machining, welding, and fabrication.
Understanding of ISO standards and engineering documentation.
Experience with ERP/PLM systems is an advantage.
