Role Overview
CGI is looking for a highly accomplished AI & Data Leader to establish and drive our AI strategy for the Energy & Utilities Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for defining AI led offerings, shape AI strategy, advise executive clients, driving innovation, leading client engagements, supporting business development, delivering enterprise scale AI and Data transformation programs and also develop a high performing AI & Data consulting practice.
The ideal candidate will combine strong consulting leadership with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, Cloud Platforms, and the Energy & Utilities domain. This is a strategic leadership role for an individual who can translate emerging technologies into business value and help clients accelerate their AI and data transformation journeys.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Practice & Strategy
. Define and execute the AI & Data strategy for the Energy & Utilities Business Unit.
. Build industry specific AI offerings, accelerators and reusable assets.
. Drive innovation and adoption of emerging AI capabilities.
. Establish AI governance, architecture standards and best practices.
2. Client Advisory & Business Development
. Advise clients on AI and Data transformation strategies.
. Build trusted relationships with business and technology executives.
. Lead AI solutioning for strategic pursuits and major opportunities.
. Collaborate with alliance partners including Microsoft, Databricks and hyperscalers.
3. Delivery Leadership
. Lead enterprise AI and Data transformation programmes.
. Provide architectural oversight and technical governance.
. Ensure successful delivery across quality, scalability, security and business outcomes.
. Mentor and grow consulting and technology teams.
4. Practice Growth
. Build capability across AI, Data and Cloud.
. Develop future leaders and technical talent.
. Represent CGI through client workshops, thought leadership and industry events.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who has grown with the evolution of modern Data & AI technologies, combining hands on technical foundations with consulting and leadership experience.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience in:
. Enterprise AI strategy and transformation
. Modern Data & AI platforms
. Cloud native architectures
. Generative AI and intelligent automation
. Enterprise data platforms and analytics
. Executive consulting and stakeholder engagement
. Practice building and capability development
. Presales, solutioning and business growth
Experience within Energy & Utilities including electric, gas, water, renewables or oil & gas is highly desirable.
1. Technical Background:
A strong understanding of modern AI and Data ecosystems is expected, including enterprise cloud platforms, data engineering, machine learning, Generative AI, MLOps and enterprise integration technologies. Hands on experience in architecting and delivering enterprise AI solutions is important, while expertise across specific platforms (such as Azure, Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake or AWS) is advantageous rather than mandatory.
