Job Description for Nurse - OPD at Manipal Hospitals:
The Nurse in the Surgical Wing is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The nurse will work closely with doctors,surgeons, anesthetists, and other medical professionals to ensure successful pre and post operative outcomes and patient safety. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for surgery, assisting during surgical procedures, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing post-operative care and education to patients and their families. The nurse will also maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Proficiency in basic and advanced life support techniques
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) or equivalent
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification from a recognized nursing council
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a surgical or operating room setting is preferred
- Current knowledge of medical best practices and patient care standards
