Position - Assembly Fitter
Role Objective
To assemble, fit, and install mechanical components, equipment, and fabricated assemblies as per engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Fitting
- Assemble mechanical components, fabricated parts, and equipment according to drawings and specifications.
- Perform fitting, alignment, drilling, tapping, grinding, and finishing activities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
- Ensure proper fitment and functionality of assembled equipment.
Inspection & Quality
- Conduct dimensional checks using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Measuring Tapes, and Gauges.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, or assembly issues.
- Ensure assemblies meet quality standards before dispatch.
Equipment & Tools Handling
- Operate hand tools, power tools, drilling machines, grinders, and other workshop equipment safely.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow preventive maintenance and housekeeping practices.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow quality, safety, and production guidelines at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of fitting, assembly, drilling, tapping, and alignment processes.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of welding and fabrication processes will be an added advantage.
Qualification
- ITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
