Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Attend and rectify breakdowns to minimize machine downtime.
- Install, dismantle, align, and assemble mechanical parts and machinery.
- Carry out repair work on gearboxes, pumps, motors, conveyors, valves, bearings, and shafts.
- Ensure proper lubrication of machines as per maintenance schedules.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and breakdown reports.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE during all maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with production and electrical maintenance teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in the maintenance area.
- Support improvement activities to enhance machine efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
- Experience in handling hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of bearings, belts, chains, couplings, and hydraulics/pneumatics (basic).
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults effectively.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
