Job Summary
The Student Counselor will be responsible for supporting students’ emotional, behavioral, academic, and social well-being. The role includes providing counseling support, guiding students in personal development, coordinating with parents and teachers, and promoting a positive and safe learning environment within the school campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and emotional support to students for academic, behavioral, and personal concerns.
- Identify students requiring additional guidance and recommend suitable interventions.
- Conduct individual counseling sessions while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support students in stress management, motivation, confidence building, and emotional well-being.
- Coordinate with parents, teachers, and school management regarding student progress and concerns.
- Organize awareness programs, life skill sessions, wellness activities, and career guidance programs.
- Assist in student discipline management and conflict resolution.
- Maintain counseling records, reports, and follow-up documentation.
- Support students during examinations and other critical situations.
- Promote a healthy, inclusive, and positive school environment.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Certification in Child Counseling or School Counseling will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in schools or educational institutions preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication and counseling skills may also apply.
