We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Senior Test Analyst
Key Responsibilities Roles:
- Sprint Planning Backlog Grooming
- Requirement Analysis: Review user stories and actively participate in "three amigos" sessions (Developer, Product Owner, and QA) to define clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Test Estimation: Estimate the time and effort required for manual testing, test data preparation, and defect logging.
- Risk Identification: Proactively highlight potential edge cases, risks, and dependencies early in the sprint.
- Test Design Execution
- Test Case Creation: Design and document detailed, reusable test cases and update the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Exploratory Testing: Utilize user personas and domain expertise to conduct deep, unscripted [exploratory testing](0.5.1, 0.5.5) to catch complex, edge-case bugs that traditional test scripts miss.
- Continuous Testing: Test stories continuously throughout the sprint rather than waiting for an all-encompassing, end-of-cycle testing phase.
- Defect Management Collaboration
- Bug Triage: Log reproducible, detailed defect reports in tools like Jira, ADO and collaborate with developers during triage meetings to prioritize fixes.
- Regression Retesting: Verify bug fixes and run targeted regression tests to ensure new code changes haven't broken existing functionalities.
- Quality Advocacy: Promote a culture where quality is a shared, team-wide responsibility rather than a bottleneck handled solely by QA.
- Agile Ceremonies Continuous Improvement
- Daily Stand-ups: Provide updates on testing progress, unblock developers, and flag any risks that might impact sprint velocity.
- Sprint Retrospectives: Suggest improvements to the agile testing process, advocate for better tooling or pipelines, and help optimize the team's workflow.
- Sprint Demos UAT Support: Assist the Product Owner and business stakeholders in evaluating software against the user story's original goals during sprint reviews. []
- Test Automation Technical Expertise: Oversee the development of automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Collaboration: Act as a single point of contact between testers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, providing test estimates and results reporting.
- Environment Data Management: Oversee the setup of testing environments and ensure appropriate test data is available.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to translate business requirements into testable technical requirements
