Tool Grip Stores Executive / Tool Crib Storekeeper
The Tool Grip Stores Executive is responsible for managing the storage, issuance, receipt, maintenance, and inventory control of tools, gauges, fixtures, and related equipment. The role ensures tools are available for production while maintaining accurate records and minimizing tool loss.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store tools, cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, and consumables.
- Issue and receive tools to/from production departments based on requisitions.
- Maintain accurate records of tool issuance, returns, and inventory.
- Monitor tool life and arrange regrinding, calibration, repair, or replacement as required.
- Coordinate with the purchase department for procurement of new tools and consumables.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of all tools.
- Maintain housekeeping and follow 5S standards in the tool stores.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and store management policies.
- Investigate and report tool shortages, damage, or losses.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, any graduate with relevant tool stores experience.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in tool stores, tool crib, engineering stores, or manufacturing inventory management.
