We are looking for an experienced Fabricator for our heavy fabrication unit. The candidate should be able to work on MS plate fabrication, transformer tank fabrication, structural fabrication, fit-up, marking, cutting support, and drawing-based assembly work.
The person must be able to read basic fabrication drawings and work with welders, helpers, cutters, and supervisors to complete the job with proper quality and measurement accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Do marking, fit-up, alignment, and assembly work.
- Fabricate MS plates, channels, stiffeners, flanges, brackets, tank parts, and structural components.
- Work on transformer tank fabrication and heavy fabrication jobs.
- Check diagonal, level, squareness, and dimensions before welding.
- Coordinate with welders, grinders, cutters, and helpers.
- Ensure proper gap, tack welding, and joint preparation.
- Reduce rework by checking measurements before final welding.
- Follow supervisor instructions and complete daily production targets.
- Maintain safety while working with plates, crane, gas cutting, grinding, and welding areas.
Required Skills
- Experience in heavy fabrication or transformer tank fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read 2D fabrication drawings.
- Good knowledge of marking, fitting, tack welding, and assembly.
- Should know how to use measuring tape, square, level, plumb, and marking tools.
- Experience with MS plate, channel, beam, angle, and structural work.
- Ability to work with crane and heavy plates safely.
- Should be hardworking and responsible.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
